Blowing Rocks Preserve is a 73-acre parcel of natural and undeveloped Jupiter Island property owned by the Nature Conservancy. It extends from the famous “Blowing Rocks” on the ocean side where the pounding ocean waves can shoot 50 feet into the air to the Indian River Lagoon side with its hiking trails.

Having a virgin section of old Florida only adds to the mystique and charm of Jupiter Island. In addition to Blowing Rocks, there is the Palm Beach County Park at Coral Cove with guarded beaches, a playground, and like everywhere on Jupiter Island, hardly anyone ever around. The Blowing Rocks Club at 1500 Beach Road is the first condo south of Coral Cove with just 10 units.

These Blowing Rock condos range in size from 1,200 to around 1,500 feet and were built in 1968 and have covered parking, a must in south Florida. While they offer only 2 bedrooms, the real attraction is the direct ocean view. Go to sleep to the sound of the waves breaking on shore.

You access the condos on Jupiter Island by way of a small bridge from the mainland in Tequesta. The Village of Tequesta is a quaint, quiet & refined area well known for its local charm and unspoiled atmosphere. In Tequesta you will find restaurants like Pep’s Island Grill with great seafood and shopping at a local grocery supercenter. In addition, the public library, the Post Office and Town Hall are close by, and like every business in Tequesta, they are never crowded.

You might consider condos in the Blowing Rock Club if you like having a waterfront view and want to live in the Jupiter/Tequesta area but don’t want to be lost in a big building.
